A few days ago, he shared a great recipe for making salted meat or Afghani meat.

Cut 3 kg of beef into large pieces with bones. Wash it and dry it well.

Add 3 cups oil, 1/4 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and 2 teaspoons salt and cook it for 20 minutes.

* When the color of the meat starts to change slightly, stick the kneaded dough around the four corners of the patila and cover the lid so that no air can pass through the patila and let it cook on low flame for 2 hours.

Wash and peel the potatoes of a little more than 1 kg and cut them into large pieces, that is, cut only 2 pieces out of 1 potato.

* Cut the upper part of 7 to 8 Shimla chilies and put pieces of cheese inside it and squeeze lemon juice and keep it.

Chop 4 to 6 tomatoes. Cut a tomato into 4 pieces.

After 2 hours, open the lid of the meat, add potatoes, tomatoes and capsicum, along with a jug of water.

* Now apply flour again on the corners of the patila and stick the lid in the same way so that no air can pass.

Open the lid after half an hour. Your salty meat is ready.

Salted meat is usually served with rice. But you can also follow these methods to serve it: * Make a simple pulao and serve salted meat with it.
Make a thin broth in the salted meat and serve with greasy naan.
You can also serve salted meat by boiling rice.
Make curd raita and serve with meat and prepare ice pulao separately.

I learned this recipe from late Abid Ali. We went to Matiari once for shooting. There one day the shooting was suspended, so we all planned together that everyone would cook some food.
